    01 superjet 2 stroke oil

    Hey all,
Just purchased an 01 sj, previous owner was running yamalube 40:1, I switched over to amsoil in my gpr1300, wondering if it's ok to do so with the superjet at the same 40:1 ratio.

    Cheers

    Yes.

While my SJ motor was highly modified, it didn't run good on the cheap Yamalube. I used only full synthetic and would never run anything else on a 2-stroke. If you are stock and run synthetic oil, I suggest 50:1

Amsoil makes many 2-stroke oils but Interceptor and Dominator are two good products. However, my favorite by far is 927.

Keep in mind, if you ride lots you will discover you will go through lots of oil since its pre-mix (your 1300 is injected). I've gone through 1 gallon per month.

ps. Congrats on the SJ, its a fantastic machine!!! Second only to the '08-up SJ hull
