Should I buy a line honed block w crank
I came across a 05 block and crank for a decent price but it was line honed and the crank and rods are .010 under , my concern is deck height and chain slack . It comes with piston and rods also . Should I stay away or grab it for a spare? The price is in the low $300

Ehh.. risk not worth it. Depending on who did the work, it could be ok or not. Problem is with the aluminum blocks is it will literally twist the mains. And yes it's straight but it may wear out bearings quicker.

I think the crank and rods are worth the price alone.

But now your using .010 under bearings on the rods, and mains. So has the crank been turned as well?? I don't mess with used stuff that's now oem size. Just my opinion. You should ask the guys at eastside and see what they think.
