    2013 RXP-X 260 next mod step advice

So I had posted previously about buying a 2013 RXP-X 260 with 26 hours on it and it only went 60 MPH. We weren't 100% sure what the problem was but I listened to all the awesome advice on this site and ended up adding a new impeller going from stock to a Solas SRZ-19/15R, got a Riva Maptuner X and did the 8350 stage 2 tune, and added a DIY 4" air intake w/ GRF catch can. I am now going 73-74 MPH with a full tank of gas which is pretty awesome. I'm now wondering what the next steps are. I know that it would cost a fortune to break 80 MPH but I would like a little more pickup off the line and/or top speed if possible. I plan on filling in the ride plate holes and wanted some advice on the next logical mods after that. I only really want to do the mods if I can install the items myself. I have a decent set of tools but am certainly no mechanic nor would I trust myself to do any crazy engine mods. I would also love to get the higher RPMs but I know that needs valves, retainers etc which I'm not sure I could install myself.

So my question is ... what are the next logical mods and could I do those myself with minimal/moderate mechanical experience. My goal is to get off the line quicker and more top end speed.

    So far this is my ski - 2013 RXP-X 260 w/ 29 hours
    - Maptuner X 8350 tune
    - Solas 15/19R
    - 4" air intake routed to front of ski
    - GRF catch can

    Cheers,
    J

I have a jims open loop ride plate for sale that's an easy 4-5mph there's threads on it. A bigger supercharger like a rude 2 is needed if you want better hole shot AND top speed (also have one of those for sale 750shipped) with a fuel pressure regulator both are super easy installs. I use an Aeromotive fpr with barb fittings and fuel injection hose clamps, all in about 150$ for that

Yeah I'd also have to recommend getting a new intercooler. My 2014 one is supposedly better than the 13 and 12 and still took a shit and started leaking

What are your RPMS getting up to with the 15/19 and 8350 tune? Or are you on the limiter already?

It goes to 8500 RPMS on dash then backs down to 8350 - so I am on the limiter with the 15/19R. I will definitely get a new intercooler eventually - for now I am checking for intercooler leakage every 5-10 hours or so. The intercooler doesn't necessarily give me many gains with acceleration or top speed does it?

Connorrxp - are your prices in Canadian or American? I see that you are in Ontario? I'm over in B.C. I would love to upgrade the supercharger. What kind of gains can I expect to go from a X stock charger to a rude 2? Is it literally a plug and play with the SC? I was planning on adding a new SC impeller when I get it rebuilt eventually.

I have same setup as yours plus thru hull exhaust with resonator removed and cp pistons, i am in process of trying different props, i installed solas 15/20 and rpms was 8500 then down to 83ish and speed at 73.1, then installed 15/21R , exact same speed but rpms went down to 8100/8200 with a little less traction off the hole.

    2013 RXP-X 260 next mod step advice

Hey James, That's interesting on the rpms with the 15/19 because of the build out I'm doing. That's good info. I'm starting with a 15/20 and may end up putting an L3 cone on and backing down to a 19-19.5 if need be to not lose all that hole shot.

The Fizzle IC (F1000) should give 50-70 rpms from what I'm reading about it.

Have you considered maybe leaving yours a 19 and use the L3 cone with spacers to get you 150 or so beneath the limiter?

A 21 that Frenchy is putting on might be a dog out of the hole till you start changing chargers & such.

Thanks for the info about your set-up. Sounds like you have more speed in that thing once tweaked.
