    1996 Seadoo XP

    Long time owner of this machine and many others,

    Looking to add a couple parts that will give me better "get up and go" right from the hole.

    Also, where can I purchase Hydro Turf precut for this model?

    Running an impeller with less pitch will help it blast out of the hole. The best would be like a Skat swirl 16/23 but that can be expensive. The cheap way would be using an impeller from a 717 powered ski.

    There are tons of outlets for HT. The store at this site probably has the hookup. If not they do at Pwcmuscle.com
    Jettrim will make you a set of mats also and they are not that expensive.

    If you need a little more out of the engine you can rejet the carbs and add a set of free flow flame arrestors. With this you loose a little protection against water ingestion though.

    Putting a head on it will wake it up quite a bit. 43cc is good for pump gas

    I'd pull the flame arrestor but keep stock box and rejet. 96xp easy to flip and get water in it. Go to a 80 gram spring , 2.0 needle , bump up the pilot a size up 2 on main

    I just swapped in my blueprinted bronze pump with shorty cone and 717 impeller into my sons '96 XP........BIG difference. I'll be putting an RFI pump back into my HX.

    Did your son loose any top end speed with the 717 impeller in the 96 XP
