I'd suggest the tools ( crank and cam lock) and the manual. You don't need to buy he actual tools, there are "generic" methods to locking the cam and crank in position

making a mistake is expensive in an unpleasant way

the actual tools are under $25

there are plenty of threads on the forum regarding the setting of cam timing also.

    I appreciate your reply Pete.

Would you be able to confirm these are the tools we are talking about?

Special Tool - Shaft Wrench: 57001-1551
Special Tool - TDC Measurement Tool: 57001-1560
Special Tool - Top Dead Center Finder: 57001-402

    Thank you, Adam

Nope Iím talking about cam and cam locks

Some use 1/4 extension on the crank and some specific drill net on the cam

You donít need a tdc indicator I use a straw

there is a special tool that allows you to turn the engine using the driveshaft if you donít want to take all that apart if the driveshaft is out use an impeller wrench to turn the engine

Thanks for clarifying. I'll give this shot.

Hi Captain Pete, would you mind recommending a cam and crank lock for this job? I'm lost in a sea of options.

    Thanks

Just order them from the forum store (links above)

Do learn how the search here works

Sorry if I'm cruising for a bruising. I didn't look under the Seadoo tools, so this will work on the Kawasakis? Where do I stick this thing?

I appreciate your help. I have been reading that thread. Do you think I can still find TDC using your straw method?
