Adding VTS to Non-Ibr Spark with or without manual reverse

So yes you can add normal VTS to a Non-IBR Spark (LAZBUSA) was first to do it.
This will not make it do wheel stands like a Trixx,,,
But with further modification it does ,So mine become a Stuntz (ya thats what I named mine now)
Stuff has to be modified to work ,, NOT Buy and Bolt On .....
Yes it still works with manual reverse .
    What i used::
    vts motor from older ski..
trim switchs for handle bars- I used old school gsi..
both side's reverse bucket support brackets ..
    trimming ring
Mounting the motor and wiring/switches is the easy part.
Hard part is getting the travel of the trim to match the nozzle travel, it will break stuff quick if wrong.
I used a threaded rod to go from vts shaft to trimming ring so that the rod could bend a little bit when the nozzle reaches top and bottom lock .
The Stuntz(homemade Trixx) mortification is more about removing material from the siphon fitting on top of pump venturi
to get a few more degrees of angle on the nozzle .
Then u will need to trim the crap out of the reverse bucket (i cut off dam near half)
I will post up some pics when I get back to FL next week.
If you got any ?'s post them up and i will do my best.
PS If anybody have a turbo kit for a spark they want to trade for 2 good running Spark longblocks ...LET ME KNOW

i am interested in what you are doing. I too have manual reverse and am developing a trim system for mine.

I see you had to trim down your venture nozzle, this is to gain more upwards movement. I see the 2017 trixx has a different venture part No, wonder if this is also to gain more trim angle.

you have also had to cut your reverse bucket down lots. does the reverse still work ok? I will see if I can make my bucket sit further up when no in use.

So I have a non IBR spark and I want to add the extended vts to it. Is it possible to get the vts to work with the system by installing an ibr harness and then installing the vts. I probably will not install the ibr as I noticed you have to do a bunch of cutting

it does still work but less after the bucket trimming .
i knocked off some tabs on the brackets that allow the bucket to sit further up/forward

    The vts only uses 5 wires 2 for power - 3 for up/down .
i think adding the ibr harness would be too expensive and complicated .
I would recommend that most just sell and upgrade to 1 with ibr so trim can be added much easier .
Making the trim work was easy But making the parts not break from beating on it with a tuned motor takes time.
I broke 3-4 vts rods , Broke the screw that moves the vts rod.
i now have a vts rod that is not molded the the sliding base anymore , I cut it off and reattached it so it can twist and turn without binding/breaking

    Hay spanner,
I believe he used a different nozzle... Looks like an early 90's nozzle?
