Need some input on condition on this cylinder!

I have slxh 1050 starded having stator problems. Pulled the motor over te weekend and found the mag cylinder in bad shape! This ski pulled great besides the stator issue nothing else was wrong! Piston wash looks good maybe a tad rich, and im running this ski on 50:1 premix! What can cause this? Lean issue? Heat?

    What sort of 'stator problems'?

Is the thermostat or pressure bypass valve missing from this engine?

How cold was the water you were riding in?

I do not see any piston wash pattern on that piston.

    Middle and pto cylinders

Noticed some odd marks on the middle cylinder, and some scouring on the pto cylinder, can barley feel the scoring on the pto but its not nearly as bad as the mag. Aslo why is only doing this in certain spots? If it was lack of lubrication it would ware the entire sleeve or am i wrong? Whats the possibility of heat being the issue here? Crankshaft looks and feels healthy.

Hard to tell from the photos but I do not see any piston wash pattern on any of the pistons. What air and water temperatures were you riding in?

Had the no spark stator issue, um im in texas and the water temp is arounf 70 last time i had it out. The thermostat, and pop off is still in the cooling rail. This motor was running hot like almost to the point were you cany hold you're hand on either of the 3 cylinders. It has the sbt platinum topend kit in it pistons are darl grey so it is hard to see the wash. As for the carbs im 2 sizes over on each jet for all 3 carbs high, mid, and low so cant see how fuel/oil is the issue here

Sounds like you need to investigate why the engine was running hot.

I was thinking the same thin, just wasn't sure if heat can be the culprit here. Fact that its very bad on the mag makes sense, since its the furthest away from the thermostat.
