stage 1 RXT numbers, is this slow???
I have been lurking on this board for awhile now, and I am now getting a new ski to complement my triple pipe 75mph 2001 XLT1200, right now im torn between a FX-HO or a RXT...I need some good advice on how fast I could get the RXT with about 4,000.00 to spend in aftermarket goodies, and what goodies would be the best bang for buck, I plan on doing all the work myself (dealers suck!!!)...any help would be greatly apprciated....
Thanks!!!

Just to get the Yammi 4 stroke modded to be able to keep up with a "stock" RXT would be a chore. There is nothing you could do to the HO to make it keep up with a modded RXT. The engine in the Yammi was never intended for use in anything other than a bike. It revs at over 10 grand and has to use a power robbing reduction gear to bring the RPM down to a range where it can be used by a jet pump.

forget the FX HO... can't compare them. i'm workin at the boat show selling yamahas, kawis, and seadoos. people look at the FX HO then look at the RXT and compare and i'm like we cannot compare these machines. Apples to apples is a FX HO and a GTX SC... even then i'd take the SC over the yamaha in a heart beat as far as performance.
then the question is... GTX SC or STX 15-F ... those are apples and apples also
RXT in league of its own... i own one too
