    RXPX T3 intake issue

I seen to many RXPX come to me with major salt build up in the supercharger and IC .

Seems the the stock air intake sucks up too much spray ..

I haven't had this issue with rear air pods ..

the below case the worst I seen with only 29hrs

i be taking a note on any one who rides in salt water

This jetski never took on a significant amount of water? That is a ton of salt buildup!

The hard plastic air tube (between SC and airbox) is factory glued (at the seam) and I've seen these split in some sections, once a small area is split it acts like a VERY strong vacuum cleaner. Any water in hull will get sucked in...not enough to cause it misfire but enough to cause this. Prevent water from entering hull and all you are left with is a air sucking gap in the air inlet.

I can tell by just looking at the bolt threads (where tool mounts) and outer SC machine surface this owner doesn't take care of his craft - likely keeps it on a dock.

Still, the OEM split seam tube is a joke!

Some people think it's just ride it till it breaks but the fact is these toys require maintenance. I for one soak the engine with BRP anticorrosive after every ride and my engine on all my units look like new , I am witness to a 2016 300 that came in today for service that has salt so bad it had the paint on the engine lifting almost at 75% of the engine with only 60 hours of use .

I used to do that, but I found the Seadoo lube will find ways under the paint and it chips the paint off anyways. Now I just hit the shiny stuff and rinse the engine compartment with salt way rinse and the paint is holding up much better it seems.

Yah, I never remember my old two strokes even the one that was 10 years old having paint chipping issues...and I would drench them in spray oil. My px300 has paint chipping issues, my tx300 does not so far and I'm trying my new method of rinse only then spray the shiny stuff.

wash with vinegar and dawn then spray engine with silicone . I ride 90% salt and at 47 hours still looks like the day i bought it . i also put fan blowing down in the engine compartment after i rinse it to dry everything out.
