    Moldy Seat? WTF?

So I just got back from the dealer and they are going to warranty this and get me a brand new seat but WTF is this? This GTR has 20 hours on it, is stored in a garage with no cover, and the seat gets removed after every ride and stored vertically. It looks horrible.. Hope it doesn't happen to the new one..

BRP recently issued a bulletin on the seats. they will be replacing the seat under warranty as long as you meet the hours requirement. I agree, BRP needs to handle this, but what went wrong I don't know.....I have seen seat do similar with getting sunscreen on it. Bottom line, when we spend what we spend on these machines, we should not have to deal with this type of flaw

My ski has 20 hours on it. Sunscreen can do that? They didn't give me any issues with the warranty and i was surprised.

BRP knows there is a problem. the sunscreen usually only did that to the white seats, but has done it to all. Be careful with the sunscreen. we should not have to, but with the sub par material they used, that is what we have to do.

Care to provide a copy of the BRP 'bulletin' referred to above?

I have (2) 2014 Wake 155's with less than 40 hours, and each with molding issues. The mold on my seats is splotchy, and not confined to one area. These machines are garage kept.

My dealer (Mancuso PowerSports in Houston TX) is of no assistance on the warranty. BRP has also denied seat replacement under warranty.

Please provide details of the bulletin you refer to above, so I can have some ammunition when I request/demand they reopen my warranty claims.

    Thanks...

FWIW, you can clean the seat from underneath with a 50/50 water bleach solution.

I have a 2015 RXP-X that is garage kept. Had the mold issue in seat and BRP sent me a new seat assembly a few months ago under warranty.

you may have to really "lean" on your dealer. It takes very little time for the dealer to look this up, but you have to have a warranty person that wants to help one of his best paying customers.....
