Resale Value on a Pair of Polaris PWC

I am going to an auction tomorrow and they have a set Polaris PWC on a double trailer. Trying to get an idea what "retail" value on these would really be, provided they are "water ready", with no issues. I looked at KBB and NADA, and they values on NADA seem extremely low. I familiar with Sea Doos, but don't have a clue on Polaris. Just thinking if I can pick them up right, I might be able to make a couple bucks in the spring.
They are a 2002 Virage TXi, and a 1997 SLXH. Both motors will start, and they are fairly clean. The 97 has 28 hrs, and the 02 has 55 hrs.
Any idea what I can sell for in the spring?

They look to be in great condition. However, Polaris hasn't made PWCs for a decade and parts can be a problem. Likewise, starting and running on the trailer doesn't really mean much. The fuel systems are still likely plugged up with gum and the rubber parts are probably in bad shape. The trailer appears to be in good shape, but inspect it carefully for rust on the bottom. ShoreLandr trailers don't typically hold up well, and those curved tubes that the winches are mounted on absolutely suck (they bend when you try to winch the boat on the trailer). I think your best hope would be to sell them to someone that doesn't know what they're getting. Keep in mind that if they don't run in the water, a buyer is probably doing to come back on you and raise hell.

If it were me, I wouldn't give over about $500 for the entire package, in hopes of doing some simple fuel system cleanup, batteries, etc. and selling them for about $2000.

Keep in mind, this is the KAWASAKI forum. I really don't know about Polaris values, so ask over there. I have fixed up a number of old 'Skis to resell, and generally lost my ass on the deal...

Those are pretty clean but folks around me aren't to keen on Polaris. $2000-2500 around here.

Always assume there is something not quite right, something that will need some work or repair cost.

You want to be checking cylinder compression. Being able to start the engines is a good sign, it is not sufficient to ensure the engine is 'good'.

You might want to send a PM to member nmpeter, he is located in that area and probably has a good handle on 'value' of various watercraft.

Ah! That's right 99 had the black hood 98 had yellow. Sorry about that

2500-3000 depending on location and if it was riding season. Would be estimated value pending they ran and all maintenance was done.

They are nice, however the Polaris jet ski department is dead. It costs a FORTUNE to repair, therefore i would say for both and the trailer $1,500-2k max.
