    VX110 ECU Hours

I bought a wrecked VX110 recently that had fallen off a trailer. Ski looks to be low hours; already moved the motor to another VX and it runs great. Before I pulled the motor, I started it in place in the old ski. Ran fine, however, the gauge cluster LCD is blank (security light lit up briefly tho).

I understand the hours are also stored on the ECU. How do I determine those hours stored in the ECU?

with either a working cluster or YDS. I happen to have two gauge clusters for a vx for cheap if you are interested.

You can also use the Yamaha variant of Candoopro to read the hours off the ECU. Just FYI, the versions of YDIS available for cheap on ebay only work until 2012 models, the Candoopro system is the only aftermarket system that works up to the 2016 models.

Tony, I have several other working clusters, but they store/show the hours independent of the ECU. You are saying there is a way to make the cluster show the actual ECU hours?

Thanks, that might actually work for me. I see people selling the diagnostic cable and software for <$60.
