Very much so.. What other maintenance have you done? There is a list of things that has to be done regularly in order to keep things in proper running condition..

The possibility certainly exists - as the exhaust filter could be "jammed" or "stuck" in the water box - or worse yet - got pushed through the water box and cut the rubber exhaust hose which leads to the exhaust tip - hence creating exhaust gasses from "efficiently" exiting your hull.

If this happened - your intake must now try to breathe on exhaust gasseous mix rather than "fresh air" - hereby "choking" your ski of fresh air - and robbing you of performance.

Reference the "many-many" threads on this topic - staged in the Kawasaki Archives. Just use the "Search Function".

Here's one threat that I quickly found while searching the Archives for you - which is what happened to me in my particular instance at the 50 hour interval - Reference:

Well Spooling, looks like the OP is pretty convinced it can't be the Exhaust Filter (even though he has already gotten some pretty good advice to replace it / check it, and what can happen if you don't).

I too say, "Good Luck"! JB
