Fizzle Y1000 onboard our Comp Turbo GPSHO (videos and AIT data attached)

A couple of events ago we met James Blanch w/ Fiz Zle intercoolers. Fortunately for us, James grew interest in our Comp Turbo GPSHO watercraft and offered for us to test one of his Yamaha Y1000 intercoolers. I have to admit that initially I was hesitant to re configure our current setup in order to accommodate his intercooler. The later part of last week we decided to remove the current intercooler we've been running, the Type 14, and replace it with the Fiz Zle Y1000 unit. Our initial setup bolted the cooler to a bracket we made. So with this unit, I decided to strap the cooler, as the Seadoo intercoolers are secured. Needles to say, I was pleasantly surprised with the intercoolers performance, even at these power levels. As noted prior, the fin density and dual pass water routing is what we believe is the difference in this cooler compared to others similar. Attached are screen shots from the end of runs, and one screenshot from 2 runs back to back. Not only are our intake temps lower at the end of a run, but the heat soak and temperature drop after the run is significantly lower now with the Fiz Zle intercooler. I decided to make this post because guys like Fiz Zle who are genuinely interested in helping this sport grow, as well as keeping the everyday recreational riders in mind with his product design, is the reason we got into this sport to begin with. this is the second pass data on the above video...I'll be posting screenshots from other logs as well in the following posts.

Keep in mind the power level this intercooler is supporting and keeping the intake temps this low. These temperatures are monitored inside the intake manifold with no isolator, as well as being a thick custom made intake that retains more heat than the stock cast and thinner unit.

In effort to compare apples to apples, which is hard to do in a build such as this and other things we have to monitor and work with, I have a response to a question regarding the variance in intake temps. I hope this clears anything up in event there is any confusion. With that said below, we are keeping the Fizzle on our ski. Keith

"that's the highest we've seen on the type 14 and it was a one pass log. So far with the Fiz Zle the highest we've seen is.in the 105 range on a second pull. The air is cooler by 10 degrees or so between the logs. I don't want to misrepresent the product, but I can assure you I'll be keeping this cooler on and not looking back. This is with the same water routing also. I really feel the dual pass water routing is what is helping keep the temps in check at these power levels."

Why would you use a type14 in a high boost turbo build??

Can you post the time graph....
