    Possible new yamaha in future and have some questions ?

    I currently own 2 Kawasaki's one is a 2010 15f- STX 4 stroke no reverse with over 200 hours, R&D plate and K&N Style filter. I really like this ski its dead reliable and an all around fun ride. I have no plans to part with it. The other ski is a 2004 15f again very reliable it has very low hours Aprx 50 . I was thinking of selling 2004 and buying a left over Yamaha VXS. I'm looking for more performance / MPH.. I know they run high 60's but how are they in the chop. The ski will be used on a lake but it does get choppy . Will this VXS handle better or as good as the 15f in the chop? Is there enough of a performance gain/MPH to make the switch worth while?

    The 2015 and up VXR/VXS is a much better hull than previous years and great in the chop. High 60's , not without a few mods. 63-64 is what to expect stock. I've never ridden a Kawasaki so I can't help you with a comparison .

    I have a 2016 VX cruiser HO. It's identical to the VXR other than the seat and trim.

    i would actually love to compare the ride to an stx as well and ride both side by side.

    i think the stx is a little smaller but heavier.

    I think the 15f is 160hp where as the Yamaha HO is 180. If I was going to be riding in a lake with a little chop, I'd probably just get the new GP1800. However, I mostly ride in the ocean and very seldom can I ride wide open throttle which is why I don't bother with the supercharged skis. But, but , but I'm sooo tempted to get the GP1800........

    I would also love the opportunity to do a side by side comparison. I'm not so sure the switch from the 15F to the VXS would be great enough for me to spend my money. I thought is was a little stronger then 63/64 out of the crate. I'm running that now with a ride plate on the 15f. Sure you can mod the VXS but for what it would cost there are some left over FZS on PWC TRADER that would that make more sense for me. I do have to agree that GP1800 is pretty sweet !
