A little spray on hull cleaner and a mop will get that right off.

It looks like the gelcoat is stained. Apparently it sat in water with a high amount of alkaline in the lake. The aluminum components, jet housing, radiator ride plate, reverse gate, everything aluminum had white powered spots erosion due to galvanizing erosion. Metal impeller near aluminum items... Can a stain in gelcoat be removed?

right or wrong but I first take a rubbing compound made for removing light scratches and try that, then if it still exists, I then wet sand with water and a very very fine grit paper, then compound and buff.......gets it every time for me on boats and skis.

Hull cleaner or buffing will take that right off. Shouldn't have to sand.

In past I have used On & Off without even buffing. Takes 5 minutes.

I have West Marine hull cleaner that removes it easily. Do not get this on metal parts!!! Use a sponge and have the garden hose ready. Don't use a spray bottle. I'm told toilet bowl cleaner works well too.
