    Sl750 question

Hi guys I know a 93 sl750 doesn't have the same ebox and stator as the 94 95 slts, but would it work if I just didn't use the MFD and used the old float type and sending unit fuel take set up? It the pto coupler the same as the 94 or do I need to swap it out. I also noticed the 94 750s have different carb settings than the 95s why is this? I am asking this because I found a good deal on an a 1993 sl750 but don't want the 2 seater.or the paperwork headache for registration.

The MFD and the fuel sender have nothing to do with the incompatibility. The Stator may not work with the CDI in the long term.

    The PTO coupler is interchangeable.

The different carb setting had to do with multiple things including revisions to the carbs themselves, revisions to the cooling systems, revisions to the flame arrestor setup, etc.

Thank you for your reply. I guess I wasnt very clear with my question.

I would be using the stator and the electric box, cdi too from the 93 sl750. But it will go into the hull of a 94 slt750. I will also be using the engine from the 93 as well. I can then swap the 94 exhaust, cooling, carbs over without issues correct?

1993 engine needs 1993 cooling configuration. There may have been a service bulletin revision for that 1993 Fuji cooling flow, check the service bulletins for details.

May need to use the 1994 electrical box (with 1993 CDI installed) to accommodate the 1994 MFD wiring (if you have the MFD).

One of the Fuji guys can comment about using the 1994 exhaust with the 1993 carbs and engine. Note that the early years (1992, 1993, etc) Polaris was frequently revising and changing parameters. 1992 was the very first model year.

1994 had significant changes. The jet pump was completely revised, the engine cooling was simplified, and some other things...

If you take everything from the 93, all electrical, carbs, exhaust it should work. The engine timing is different from the 93 vs the 94 & 95, the 93's also run around 6500rpms the 94's are around 6200rpms, part of that is also the 93 pipe, its a dry pipe & runs at a higher rpm. Most 93's have a water cooled crankcase, so water routing will be different. The 93 used a smaller pump that didn't load the motor as much as the 94's, you may be ok as long as you are using the stock SLT impeller, loading the engine more may required upjetting the carbs a bit. Are the SLT electrical part damaged or missing?
