Thumbs up AFR and Tach Recommendations for 2014 FX Cruiser SVHO

I have a 2014 FX Cruiser SVHO with a Riva intake, Ribbon Delete (Riva intake manifold kit), Solas Prop from Dean, and a 93 octane tune from Dean.

I tend to ride in three seasons since I live in the Northeast, particularly in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Sometimes in the Spring the water and air temps are on the cool side. Air temps may be in the high 50's to low 60's, and water can be in the 60's too.

I am concerned with riding too lean and at a too high RPM level. So, after reading all the posts on here, am considering getting an AFR gauge and tach.

Do you have any recommendations on tachs and AFR gauges? Mounting locations? And how or where do they connect?

    Thank you!

P.S. I know many people recommend the TTO tach sold on GreenHulk. But, I was told to also consider the Tiny Tach as found on Ebay so far.

Just purchased, but haven't installed - waiting for Riva's O2 kit (on backorder).

I use the Riva 02 adapter as well as the Innovate PSB-1, which monitors boost and AFR. Great setup.

As far as a tach, I use the Tiny tach.

That gauge looks promising! I like how it will measure both AFR and Boost. Please let me know how it works for you. Does it tap into your exhaust or something using the Riva O2 kit?

That looks like a great gauge. It would be awesome to be able to display boost and AFR on the same screen. Where did you mount the gauge? Do you have any pics of your setup? The Riva 02 sensor looks like the way to go and it comes off the exhaust.

Is that Innovate gauge easy to read in bright sunlight?

Where did you mount the Tiny Tach? Is it water resistant?

My AEM dual gauge sucked water from the front and died.

That's funny, my Innovate did the same - two of them to be exact.

This AEM is a new Triple, not double. It provides AFR, Boost and the amount of ethanol in the fuel. Hopefully through the years they figured out how to stop them from sucking water.

Try sealing with silicone around the faceplate and glass. AEM just started using a rubber gasket that is suppose to seal the face plate. For the rear, they use the rubber boot.
