Bow roof shed for winter storage.

I'm in the process of building a large cruising boat that required an equally large temporary structure to build in. I settled on a bow roof shed using home made wooden arch trusses.

I thought this would be of interest to GH members looking for winter storage for their skis.

My build is a little more permanent with 4x4 footers but to house a ski for winter you could just use ground augers. When winters over just pull the anchors, dismantle the structure then store the arches for next year.

The design is scalable to to any size, small or large. Here are a couple shots from another build to show what I'm talking about. There are more pictures, links and explanations on my blog:

Thx much. I have seen them with Visqueen on the inside, too, with dead air space between. Nice shed!

I'm actually planning on using boat shrink wrap. I have the propane torch and I think that once shrunk it will make for a tight structure.

I set up my iPad and used the time lapse feature for a portion of the build. I thought it was neat so I'm sharing it here. Obviously you could build a much smaller one for a couple pwc's but my big boat build needs a lot of real estate!
