    Have you tried contacting Jim first?im sure this was an issue from the factory casting.. Regardless I would contact him.

    Them are not imperfections caused by me, That is bad casting from the factory mold. When machining a plate there are specific angles i put on the surface of the plate. That big one is close to 1/4 deep i can not just keep machining just to get rid of them and the other issue is if i machine deeper i do not know if there are more air pockets deeper in, it will throw the specs way out and the plate will not perform like it should, also it will make the riding surface very thin.

    It does not cause a problem on how the plate performs at all, if you like you can fill with jb weld and sand flush. The reason i don't do it is if a customer see's jb weld they think something else is wrong i leave it so the customer can see it is a casting issue. And if they like they can fill in.
