Adding Cruise assist, no wake features to 2015/2016/2017 VXR/VXS ?

My understanding is that the 2016/2017 VX Cruiser HO model has cruise assist and no wake mode, while the current VXS/VXR models have electric trim.

All three models have RiDE and the 1.8 liter engine in the new hull.

Is it possible to have all these features combined?

What would be required to add the Cruiser HO features (cruise and no wake) to the current VXS?

Or to add trim to the VX Cruiser HO model?

I'm interested to find out as well. My brother has a vxs and the lack of cruiser feature sucks on long hauls. Although I doubt it would be easy because the ecu isn't programmed to look for the cruiser features so if you did hook it up with the cruiser parts, there will be electrical/tune hurdles to overcome

The converse question is also of interest, is it possible to add electric trim (as found in the new VXR/VXS) to the VX Cruiser HO model?

There are several mechanical and electrical aspects to adding 'missing' features from one model to another. I would like to understand what would be required and whether it is technically possible.

last time i try to do that was between two fx's did not work .
the harness is not compatible ,computer was not reading the cruise or no wake and had codes , cannot remember the codes has been to long.
also the speedo on the cruiser works different from the non cruise .on the cruise the speed signal goes directly into the compass box then goes to the display , non goes directly into display .
just a few examples of what i when through.
if you have a donor , i will say yes you will have all you need to swap.

The harnesses are different, as well as the ECU. Pretty sure on the VX ski the trim is on the right side while the VXS the trim is on the left. You would need to find a ski with all the bells and whistles you want and use its controls, wire harness and the ECU and install that in your ski. Chances are there is something else that you cant change like the handlebars as well as the RIDE control lever. You could possibly sell your old parts to recoup your losses but it would be a huge pain in the ass, and not cheap.

    2016 Yamaha VX Cruiser HO
No Wake and Cruise Assist buttons on the right handlebar.

2016 VXR Trim and RiDE controls on left handlebar.

It would appear that melding the left and right side handlebar controls between VXR and VX Cruiser HO will not conflict, at least not physically.

Wire harnesses can be rejigged but computer controls and interfaces can be tricky to intermix. Hence my questions about what can actually be done or cannot be done.

The vx has fixed trim with cruise on the Right. I don't think the vxr/vxs have cruise.

    Precisely.

My question is whether it is possible to modify/combine the left handlebar electric trim of the VXR/VXS with the right handlebar Cruise and No Wake features of the Cruiser (HO) models.
