300 catch can vs atmosphere question

I have a rxpx300 with quite a few mods. I currently have the breather hose venting to atmosphere. Is there a benefit to oil catch can over my current setup. If so how? I get no oil out of hose as of right now

One can be messy the other not. That's it in a nutshell. Over time you'll start to see an oily film. You may not see it now but it's there.

I agree! I highly recommend the GRF stainless steel catch can's on the 300 skis

I shipped customers 300 with no catch can .. 12 hrs of vacation and engine comp was a disaster.

So Jerry let me ask this. What are ramifications of dumping oil back thru intake. Does not I C get coated and compromised? Seems like dumping oil to TBody side. Well wait... that cant work cause its boosted. Honda kids recycle to valve cover.

Yes coats the IC with oil , need the catch can .. just may need to periodically oil the TB to ensure it's good.

My opinion is you need a catch can on any ski with a supercharger, especially the 300's which are known to push oil.

Using a catch can keeps your intercooler clean. Recirculating crankcase vapors back to the intake lowers the knock rating of your fuel. Not good for a performance ski!

On a 300 with the riva power filter I just need to know that you have the power filter installed and I will send the correct can with the modified bracket to clear the riva intake. Leave a note in the comments box when you make the order in the forums online store.
