    Supercharger clutch question

    Hi,I'm new to this site .I currently have a 2013 Yamaha FZS .I was browsing the site and came across a thred about the clutch for the soupercharger going bad. Dose anyone know how many hours they last?and I have a 5 year warranty on this unit ,going into year 4.would it be covered? Thanks

    Some last hundreds of hours some last 1 hour.... depends how you ride along with mods etc

    Thanks MWHC, right now it's stock . Do you know if it falls under the warenty if it fails? I have 113 hrs on it now.

    It should be covered. Long as it stays stock. But also the 2013 Had the upgraded clutch installed. I would get a Blow Off Valve, It will help the life of the clutch greatly!

    I did my homework ( performance store, YouTube ) I wish I knew about this when I purchased the unit. Thanks

    Don't even worry about it on a 2013. The 2013 design is pretty strong and unless you have lots of mods you will be fine. Most likely just the sprag with break and you will be able to limp back to shore. It's and easy swap with a new one as well.

    You bought the correct year. It already has the upgraded clutch. With any Supercharged ski, A Blow Off Valve helps release the pressure build up once you let off the throttle.

    You can do some searching in the classifieds section. And get a used one for a good price.

    FYI My uncles 2010 FZS clutch lasted about 250 hours , stock .
