    1995 Polaris slt750 rotted hose

I was searching under the engine for a dropped nut and I found a hose that was rotted. One end of the hose goes under the drive coupler but I am not sure where the other end goes to? I found another hose that was similar that runs just in front of the handle bars under the trunk lid to the engine bay, it looks like some type of vent for air or water, do these run together?? thx

There are two small "clear" hoses like the one you show in the ski. One goes to the speedo pitot (below coupler) and connects directly to the back of the display.

The other... which I think your holding... is the battery vent tube. If lead-acid batteries are used... this tube is connected to allow battery to vent fumes externally. If you use an AGM battery... don't need it.

    Cheers!

One hose is probably the battery vent hose.

The other is the speedometer hose, runs from the pitot fitting under the driveshaft up to the dash display.

the display is located in the trunk lid on this ski? so this broken line runs all the way up the lid? I just looked and can only see a place for one hose that attaches to the display and it runs to the oil tank? there are about 4 wires that come to the engine bay from the display?? so I am stumped still as to where to plug this line into??

so I went out and looked again and I think that someone has hooked the speedo line to the vent to the top of the oil tank? so that leaves me with where does the vent on the oil tank suppose to run to??

The oil tank has a check valve on a stubby hose. The other end of the oil check valve hangs in free air, no hose. That is the factory configuration.

The speedometer hose goes from the back of the display all the way down to the pitot fitting under the driveshaft.

Might want to check whether anything else is hooked up incorrectly...
