    Buying advice

I am just about to take both my Seadoos out for the fall and have them winterized. I am planning on trading in my 2008 RXT on a new machine this fall so when spring comes I will have my 2012 GTR and the new machine. (In Canada they have a 4 year warrantee promotion on now). Entire family uses these machines and appreciate some of the nice features the newer machines offer. (Better seating, steering/braking etc). I was thinking about the GTX 230/300 or the RXT-X 300. Hearing some of the feedback on the first year for the 300 motor and obviously a first year for the 230 motor I am rethinking this. The RXT 260 looks like a value deal and has a proven engine. I am always a bit hesitant on early models of a new design. Any thoughts on this. Any regrets on the purchase of the 2016 with the 300 motor?

    welcome to the GH
read the warranty carefully because I read the BEST does not include the Supercharger

Buy at the start of next year. During boat show season they typically offer a 5 year warranty (in Ontario at least). Unless things have changed, the supercharger is covered under the BEST warranty if it fails early and the unit has been maintained.

Good point on that. The dealer actually said he would give me the 4 year today or up it to 5 years if it was offered again this year at the boat show. If I trade now I don't have to store it or pay to winterize. Leaning towards the RXT 260 I think at this point.

I have a 2016 GTX 300. I've got 14 hours on it. I wanted the comfort and bells and whistles.
I went from a 2009 GTX. What a difference. I'm interested in crusing only. We have about a 20 mile lake to boat on. Its nice to get out and fly. Very smooth. Very comfortable.

I don't know that anyone needs a 300hp...to quote the dealer. That's true. Its fun to play with but really don't use the capacity much. If you do, hang on!!!

No problems here with my RXP300. I'd get the TX300, get the most warranty you can, and enjoy!

The amazing thing with this forum is that, the founding member, Jerry, keeps screwing around with Yamaha FZS's and ugly-assed GP1800's when he should be owning a Sea-Doo RXP or RXT! Why would he not own the best (SeaDoo)? It's not all about out-right speed, the total package must be considered! I've owned both Yamaha and SeaDoo and SD is far superior!
