    1000 hp 150 mph ski

Why is no body building 1000 to 1500 hp jet ski that can do 150 mph, clearly with today's technology turbo, nitrous , turbine it can be done can we all come together with ideas on how to achieve this and blow the record of 112 out the window. Come on brains go to work with the recipe for this accomplishment

You would have to cram a different motor to get that kinda HP in a small engine compartment that is in a ski?,out of 1800cc, the most u can squeeze out of that is about 500-600 hp without it turning into a 4 cylinder hand grenade!

You can use a top fuel NHRA Hemi engine. That will make 9,000 hp. You would need a custom pump off a top fuel drag boat. Then comes the stability. You would need a custom pickle fork hull just to keep it stable at high speed.

God help you above 120 mph. Because you will be meeting Jesus for sure!

If BMW can build a 1500cc that produced 1500hp I think it's feasible. Granted it would take bottomless pockets

    ...
Drag boats use propellers, don't they?

Is there anything faster than these 100mph PWC that use actual jet pumps?

Indeed, the hull (especially the ride plate and pump intake) and jet pump itself are huge factors as the speeds increase.

How to steer when none of the hull is touching the water...

The best way to get maximum speed would be to ditch the jet pump and go with a surface drive.

I saw a guy do 115 mph on a flat bottom speed boat with a jet pump. He was turning some serious RPMs on that BBC. He got towed back be cause he threw a rod and busted out the side of the block. The hole was massive you could see the crank from the outside of the block.

Well then it isn't a personal watercraft, it is something else.

There is an old thread on here somewhere showing a prop converted PWC with a rudder for steering. It was fast. But no longer a PWC.

Yes I remember that thread. It was a GPR with a 2 stroke. He used a prop and got it to go over 100 mph. But had stability issues. He used a rudder but the prop torque made the hull walk to one side. Very scary!
