Need recommendations on RXTX waterbox mod

I am looking for a Riva Pro Series waterbox for my 08 T-X. If I am unable to locate one I am interested in having my OEM box modified. Any suggestions on a reputable fabricator that has experience with these waterboxes?

Man just lop the end off it with a grinder, go to work with a hole saw and a reciprocating saw and have the thing welded back up by anyone.free and sounds good

I worked for a fab shop for several years & at one time had access to guys that could TIG this box in their sleep. Problem is those times are long gone & don't have anyone local I trust with it. I want it to look better than factory when I get it back. Maybe I am too picky. Besides that I don't want it to crack & leak.

If you do this do NOT shorten the exit tube . Also tdr still makes waterboxs and they are a little cheaper and imo sound better than riva . The quality doesn't compare but it's still nicer than a stock box that's been gutted

I have been told to steer clear of the TDR boxes because of welds cracking & major leaks. Not sure I want to chance that. One of the main reasons I want the Riva is it allows for the charger R&R without having to move the waterbox. With my current thru hull that is a pita. Plus I like the sound.

Thanks. I have heard his customer service is a little iffy. Would hate to send him my only box with that in mind. Have you any personal dealings with him?

any good welder can weld the box back together after you cut and gut it
