Question 2014 VX SPORT over heating and not running

    Hey Guys.
New to forum and the skis. Have a VX sport 2014. recently its not running. engine starts ok, can push gas to max but in the water its not moving at all. after 2,3 minutes it gets overheating warning. Checked impeller and intake looks ok. my vx is far from the town 400 miles. what should i do? no dealer in the country.
    Thanks advance.

Is there a water stream from the cooling port? Thinking you have a clogged cooling line. You should see a stream from the port as soon as the machine is started up.

if you rev the motor and the ski doesn't move, its more that a clogged line or strainer !! need to see if the impeller is even spinning while running, sounds like you have a pump, driveshaft or coupler problem

The coupling from your engine that goes to the impeller shaft has stripped its threads and is causing it to spin. They are a fairly cheap part and take about an hour to install.
