    2008 T-X 255 Where's the limit before overstuff?

I am trying to get some idea at what speed the 2008 T-X is good for without overstuffing the pump. Running a R&D grate with stock nozzle. Have run 75 with no issues but am going to be adding larger charger etc.. All input appreciated.

My 08 T-X runs low 80's with no problems so far. The Only problem was the pump tunnel exploded and nearly sunk the ski. After the repair everything is good.

Just didn't want to push the old T-X too far & find out the hard way. I am doing the reinforcement this winter (per the 3 part vid on youtube). That seems to be the best info I can find. So far no signs of cracking at 120 hours. Don't ride rough water & not hard on the ski.

Going to stay with closed loop & run Rotax 131 thermo. Any difference running the oem plate?

open loop cut plates gain 2-4mph over stock plates.

the point of stuff varies with every single modded ski made regardless of like or dislike mods and nobody can say when any ski will or wont stuff based on speed alone.......... the obvious main determining factor is pump tunnel psi & 28 to 38 psi from what I have seen with variable modded skis seems to be the best operating pressure to avoid stuff in all conditions meaning no fuel, full fuel, light throttle let off to throttle chop whatever this seems to be the magic target area for tunnel pressure to not stuff for 95% of the boats going fast.......so that's the target area numbers everyone modding should worry about not the top end number they think it may or may not stuff at based on other boats in other conditions because once it stuffs its to late..............BET!!!!!!!!!!!!

I modded a pair of local 2008 RXTX's. One severely cracked the tunnel at 74mph. The other is fine at 77mph.

ALL 2008/2009 RXT-X tunnels should be reinforced no matter if they are stock or modded. I have seen so many tunnels blow out on stock skis

Is the 3 part video posted on youtube the correct procedure? I cant seem to find any detailed instructions other than that. Def going to tackle that this Fall/Winter. How do you remount the VTS bracket with the metal removed? Drill & use brass inserts? I want to do it correctly.
