    Reconsidering...

OK, the more I've been thinking about it, I'm not sure I can part with my 1300r...it's just too wild and raw. Every time the wife and I are out at the lake, I bypass the VXR and "agree to ride the old ski". I'm not really being altruistic - I prefer it.

So I'm getting a GP1800....and yeah, my GPR is a little under the weather right now.

But there's no way I'll be able to whip the handlebars at 60mph on the GP1800 and laugh maniacally as I spin 360 degrees.

Maybe I should just keep this thing....thoughts?

This does present itself as a good opportunity to build it up. I am correct in thinking that the GPR hull still represents one of the greatest potentials of all PWC builds out there, right?

What should I do with this thing?

Keep it I have 2 FZR and still have 2 gpr. For long cruises I ride the FZR but if I want to jump waves and play I ride the gpr. And yes I think the gpr hull is the best all around hull ever made.

I had a feeling that would be the consensus....

Motor-wise, I already have a replacement piston and gaskets on their way. Should I just keep the motor stock and put a Riva Stage 2 Kit on it? I think I would skip on the trim tabs and free flow exhaust, but do everything else.

Or should I do something entirely different? I don't want to change the handling characteristics at all, but I'd like a little more grunt from the beginning and a little more top speed.

There's just so many options...hardest part is choosing what I want to do, especially with my limited experience doing anything besides basic maintenance on my stuff. Let's just say I've been outrageously lucky in my 13 years of PWC ownership. This has been my first genuine problem (Other than a sinking Polaris SL780 that someone how lost part of its hull during a ride and hydrolocked the motor.....nothing a little Marine Tex and compressed air couldn't fix)

Raise compression, 4degree timing, free flow, vforce3 reeds or carbon reed petals and stuffers.
