Thread: AFR at mid RPMs

    AFR at mid RPMs

I just installed a RRFPR on my 06 RXT, I set it up with the rising rate function. After tuning I'm getting around 13.5 at idle and 11.9-12.0 at WOT. I see around 15-15.5 in the mid 5k-6k RPM range with the boost gauge reading from 3-4 vacuum to 0 boost. Should I be concerned about it running that lean in mid RPMs? Should I just set it up as static fuel pressure? I'd think it may be too rich at idle if I change it to static, no?

I have a RIVA ECU with the 50lb injectors that came with it. 4" intake, X charger w 137 + 3 wheel, 13lb of boost turning at 8360-8400 RPMS.

That's high, you should aim for around 13.5 - 13.9 at cruising RPMs.

I usually run 13.5-14.2 tops below boost.

The Riva Ecu has an aggressive timing map especially for a 137 or bigger wheel so keep that in mind
an LB MOTORSPORTS Reflash or vtech is the way to go IMO
all ecus have a lean spot in the mids 2-300 rpm range around 5700 rpm so either stay out of it in that range or get a custom flash made

Or put a cmd system on it.

Love the cmd, stupid easy to set up keeps the afrs perfect at any rpm. I get freaked out seeing anything over 13.5 personally..

CMD is a great idea but not in my budget right now, I may do it in the future. I'm going to try and set it static to see if it's better. I don't tend to cruise at that RPM range much anyways..mostly WOT or just below.
