Bilge siphon hose leaks if not elevated

I had my (new to me) 2003 Genesis in the water today for the first time. It had dawned on me while working on it that I hadn't seen the blige siphon hose, but I had forgotten about it. Long story short, it was laying in the bottom of the hull and was apparently leaking when stopped, since the hull was slowly filling with water. I guess under positive pressure it allows water in. I elevated it and all is well. Just thought I'd share

Indeed, the elbow for the bilge siphon must be mounted above the waterline. Otherwise it will backflow into the hull when engine is not running.

The elbow has a tiny vent hole. That hole must be kept clear, but not enlarged (much).
