'99 XPL popped front box 15a fuse

    Hey guys,

A customer/owner of my old XPL was out last weekend and the ski died and had no power after that. I figured it blew a fuse. Sure enough the 15amp fuse in the front electrical box was blow.

I put a new one in it and the ski starts right up.

Thing is, I do t know what caused it and so far it hasn't happened again. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Possibly a metal shard from the starter hitting the flywheel got in between the stator and mag for a second and popped it..if thats the case it will happen again..

I'm great with mechanical assembly drawings but electrical......I've been staring at the schematic in my manual and can't follow where it comes from....goes to the starter solenoid but from where?

    The flywheel?

Status update...... I took the seadoo out today and rode it for 40 minutes with no problems then all of a sudden it shut off while I was going around 30mph. I put a new fuse in it and it started right up. I shut it off then it wouldn't restart. The fuse was blown again.

Mostlikely the stator is starting to short out

Yes there is......from what the above guys have said, I think I need to pull the front cover off and check the stator.
