Need help, advice, on what could be wrong ???
I've been taking the skis out all summer without any hitches whatsoever.
Today, ran them all day, and then my 2006GTXsc was ran with the learner's key for a bit, and then switched back to the "Normal" key, and now it gets to about 50mph with not much ummph getting there...
The ski has about 170 hours on it, and at about 105 hours I put a "BRAND NEW" supercharger with metal washers. The original ceramic washer super charger never gave me any problems. In fact, the ski has never given me any issues at all.
Has anyone ever heard of the learning key giving any issues? I haven't, but I just ride them, I'm for sure no mechanic.
It still starts normally, and runs, it just won't get up to the normal speed of about 61-63 mph, depending on the weight of the rider of course.... It simply gets to 50mph and not very quickly anymore.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. I know maybe it's the supercharger? But hoping something a little more simple and cheaper?
Thanks In Advance!!!

Assume nothing, I'd check that supercharger first

Does the supercharger whine sound louder than normal? If so check all off your boost piping for leaks.

Hmmmmm.... You lost me at boost piping
. I think I'm gonna have to take it to WFO in Houston and have him check it out. Unless someone knows another Houston/Katy alternative ?

Titan is referring to the hose from the supercharger to the throttle body. If it gets loose or split & loses its seal you will lose power because of the loss of boost. That would also explain the increase in sound from the charger. Just inspect the hose & clamps.

Awesome! Thank you. Now I know what I'm doing on my day off this Thursday! I hope it's that simple... It's always ran great, and I did put a brand new supercharger with metal washers about 60 hours ago, so I'll hope for the best.

One more question from an extreme novice in repairing these skis.
Should I be focusing on just the hose that goes from the supercharger to the throttle body? Or should I pick up the other hose that I believe is an air intake hose?
I've been watching all the videos I can find, and there seems to be 2 main hoses attached to the supercharger. Both look pretty simple and I believe even I can handle changing them.
My plan is to buy whatever I might need to do a minor repair before driving 1 hour 15 minutes to where my skis are stored by the lake. I'm assuming the dealership will take back any unused hoses as long as they are in original packing, right?
Thanks for any advice.

I'd start at one end and check all the way to the other end. Only way to be sure.

Turned out to be a $ 2 problem
The hose clamp that kept the hose attached to the supercharger simply broke in half allowing the supercharger pressure to push the hose between it and the throttle body off!!!
Ran to the auto parts store and 5 minutes later all is well.
Back to 7660 rpms and 62 mph... Just like out of the box!
