    2015 Ultra 310x

Just brought home a 2015 Ultra 310x yesterday with only 19 hrs on it. I did get it from a Kaw dealer. We will be taking it tomorrow afternoon for our first ride on it. Can't wait. Just found these forums today, and trying to read what I can. My ski did not come with an owners manual, so I put that and a maintenance manual on order. Couple questions I have, is the service guy said that 87 octane gas is fine in it. I questioned him again on it, and said yes 87 is fine. Is this correct? I do have non ethanol 90 octane on the way to the lake, if that is fine over 93 octane.

Also, I did not buy the extended warranty, and after reading of several members here with damaged pistons, wondering if I should have. One thread said 1 in 300 310's have this problem. Is this limited to just a few, and really nothing to worry about?

Also read about "fogging", have never heard of it, so will have to check into that. Is this a must do item? I did come across "rod rod's" videos, but haven't been able to really check them out.

Anyway hello to all, and thanks in advance.

    91+ Octane ONLY..
Yes, Fog everytime regardless of fresh or saltwater.
(Verify both and the how to in the owners manual)

And if you have the cash and a nearby decent dealer, then yes buy the Warranty..

Thanks for the help. We did get it to the lake yesterday, and was very impressed! I see why they call this thing a holeshot machine! We had rented a couple ski's this summer on this lake, and could never open them up for long, as the lake water would be rough. Don't have to worry about that near as much with this 310x. It does take rough water much better. Going camping in a couple weeks on the lake, so we should have the chance to get some early morning/late evening nice and smooth lake water to really open it up.

well if you brought this ski from a kawasaki dealer and you are here asking all these questions i suggest you go back to the dealer or find another especially since he left the manual out of the ski of which every ski by law comes supplied with.

? What do you mean "Fog every time"? You mean every time you winterize it?

Fog the supercharger. Check in the owners manual for the procedure. Super easy
