you need to read the manual and comprehend the instructions with the key.

how many times does Mpeavler have too explain it.

Ok, so the key thing (whatever it does or doesn't do or which key it's for) didn't change a thing. I brought it home and was thinking of just installing the SCOM and hope it would make the issue a non-issue. I have a bilge installed and the SCOM instructions said to call Riva because they have to tell you the wiring instructions if you have a bilge and of course I call and no tech available on weekend. So I decided to go through the hoses again and I bumped the exhaust manifold metal clamp and it actually rattled. I tightened that thing up, put it in the water and my smile was fixed! Saw 71 on speedo and max RPM was 8650. No kidding. Actually if you set the display to show max RPM it will register the times you come unhooked and spike the limiter I guess. I did see a legitimate 8040 a few times. Yay!

Sweet... The install is simple on the scom , you can figure it out just by looking at the block when opened up for the scom. There are spots for it all in there.

Riva has me worried saying in their instructions that they've had reported issues when a bilge is installed and the last thing I want to do is short out that unit. Here's a question (that I should post in another thread), what I I just jump to Stage II and get the maptune. Is that more straightforward and just installs in the harness? I've never swapped out a prop, easy or get a shop to do it?

maptune will remove the boost and rpm limiters and stage two will get you a nice bump in performance all around.
