    Plastic will hold up a lot better in salt water. I would also think that that it would give or snap if it hit something, whereas the aluminum might be strong enough to rip the mounting nuts out of the hull.

    I found a pair for a Hundred on EBAY..they were for a STX and I had to modify them..but they seem to work..

    I have received my sponsons and sourced all the materials. All I need is to work them into my schedule and then the sponsons will be available again to anybody that wants them.

    finally found why I couldn't turn display on....it was just a dead battery,I got it turned on....which is great,It works... And is not broke,but I do have 190 hours
    And the po toke starter out...i have a new one,going to try to put in without removing engine...any tips??

    It's actually pretty easy to replace the started without pulling the engine. I did mine earlier this year and you have to kinda "feel" your way putting it back in. The only issue is you will lose some oil out of the starter opening when you pull the old one out and you MUST fill the reservoir back up once it's back in and sealed. The filler hole is right next to the oil pump and there is a sight glass down in the bottom corner that is impossible to see, so what I did is stick my camera phone down in the hull and took a s#!t load of pictures until I could see if it was full. Otherwise you can catch the oil that spills out and replace that amount plus a dab more.
