    300 charger in 260 engine

    Hi any done this up grade the 260 engine whit the 300 charger

    It's not compatible without internal and external changes. The 300's charger is spun by a larger crank gear with more teeth giving it a 25% or so rpm vs crank speed compared to the old design. Years ago I asked the forum about recasting a pto cover and increasing the size and tooth count to do this because I knew it'd work. An ET race will give the increase you're looking for buuuuut checking slip all the time sucks.

    Apparently u need to change flywheel, pto housing and supercharger to the 300 set up and u good to go

    I would also think the starter or at least the starter gear needs to be changed. Considering the starter won't engage the new flywheel
