Yeah that's the thread. Should I just get jets from sbt? Or watcon? Also the reed inserts are not that vital eh?

It is called reed stuffer BTW. Its purpose is to reduce turbulent and smooth out airflow.
You can read more about it at link below and decide.

    Allright update.

Got the accelerator pump Diaphragm fixed, Allso dropped in some reed stuffers.. runs alot better trimmed out tops out around 6600rpm.. cylinders hot still hot ( not cool to the touch ). Big thing for me is the plugs are still light brown and dry... still haven't installed bigger jets. Guess I'm gona have to start with "loonatik" suggestions.

    How?

Replaced it with another. Had to purchase a used set of carbs for just a Diaphragm . She runs good. Just need to change out the stator this weekend and run some bigger jets.

Noticed, with this Lowpr issue the gas, oil, and speedometer doesn't work. When the ski is warm, it takes a while before it starts. Hope I can locate a stator that will work with the old cdi box.

LoPwr warning on the MFD just means the MFD thinks the battery voltage is excessively low.

When you measure actual battery voltage with a good multimeter, is the voltage nominal/correct or is the battery voltage actually low when the MFD is saying LoPwr?

If the battery voltage is actually good but the MFD is complaining then the display may need to be calibrated. I have posted the procedure, findable via my signature links. Look in the MFD section.

If there is any moisture inside the MFD then it will not be happy.

Also remove the MFD fuse and check it for zero ohms.

Sometimes the MFD fuse becomes resistive and just needs to be replaced with another 1/4 amp fuse. Do not install a higher amp rated fuse.

Problem is actually the stator. Went through the steps on how to ohm ohm out the stator charging coil. The results end up being the stator.

    Jetting question!

The ski ripps out of the whole, real strong in the midrange performs very well trimmed out got around 6500 rpms. Plugs are light brown "dry". as for piston wash they are dry and all have a quater size spot in the middle thats real dry almost clean.

With the ski running very well would you guys suggest to just jet up the high jets? Or step all of up a few sizes. Anyone known the stock jetting on a 1998 polaris slxh?

Any input here is greatly appreciated.
