Lucky 13 Cone Question on FX SVHO

I think I am about to pull the trigger on an L13 cone for my FX SVHO. I went back to the stock 87mm nozzle from the FZR nozzle but I do run a Leos wedge. Has anyone run the L13 with the Leos wedge or does pump angle matter? What are your results from the addition of the cone?

Currently running 82.8mph @ 8600 (1040' elevation) in this warmer weather, thanks to Fizzle.

This thread just died out so I'm resurrecting it.

Wondering if any FX SVHO owners have tried other nozzles or diameters with the L13 cone? Most say they get the best speed with no washers same as me. I was thinking that opening up the are of the pump nozzle just near the tip of the L13 would increase the rpm slightly. If too much then I can add a spacer as needed. That would allow me to add or take away spacers depending on the seasonal temperature to keep the rpm where I want them, around 9200. I think if you increase the diameter of the entire exit nozzle the water velocity will decrease along with top speed so I don't want to do that. So that's why I'm thinking just near the cone tip.

Jerry, please chime in here on this.

Hello, I posted here http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthre...=1#post3010754 about the same thing. I ran the Lucky 13 cone with the 5 degree nozzle and 2 degree wedge with smaller nozzle on my FX and the ski felt great. Brought my RPM off the limiter and picked up speed. I would not go bigger than the 87mm and I find in all setups that running all 3 washers works best.

My FX runs right at 85mph at 8700 rpm.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks. I replied to that thread with my test results. I gained almost 1 mph and dropped 100 rpm by removing the wedge with the L13 and no spacers. best speed was 88.8 mph at 9100 rpm
