Finally a seadoo that can compete with the msx! New px can beat the msx in the chop.

Some know I am a lover of the Polaris msx and its hull. For the last many years since the first 4tec conversion we saw that this hull is fast and handles much better than an s3 hull with similar power. In fact to compete the seadoo s3 needed another 50+ Hp to compete and was as much as 10mph slower.

The new px 300 is an even race. It is slower in a strait line in flat calm conditions and walks away in ruff chop. It pulls three or four boat lengths in heavy chop and the msx does the same in flat calm conditions. The extra weight is an obvious help in the ruff stuff.

Even with more power I could not take the new px in the rug stuff. That's the biggest improvement on the new seadoo. It is more planted in ruff waters than its older model. Not sure if it's weight or a balance change but it worked well.

It is still a slow hull design but with enough weight and power it makes it a different animal all together.
