Thumbs up Stock TX300 taps 71.2mph today...

Made several back to back passes on the TX300 today with 4hrs on it and 94deg heat on totally full tank kept hitting 71 to 71.2mph on middle vts setting. Bow up all the way was a little slower around 70.5 best. A couple times I swear it felt like it didn't pull back at the limiter. Ran great. Engine temps never above 192deg and would settle down back to 183-185 range pretty quick over almost 2 hours of hard running. This big couch is making me happy.

Nice! Just out of curiosity, what did the top speed on the dash say?

They are monsters! I can't believe how smooth 70+ feels. My old 2001 GTX felt far more on the edge at 55 that this thing does at 75.

I never saw the speedo go over 71. And at slow speeds my GPS almost exactly matched the speedo...which is weird I'm used to Yamaha where it's wayyyyyy off.

I'm extremely impressed with it. For a big stock ski it's a rocket!

I'm sure it settled back down to high 68's that's what I saw a lot on my vbox sport. Get a scom or a tune on that thing so you can get out from under the GPS limiter.

Lol of course it did its stock. Anyways, I'm looking at 4 options to go faster with tuning and one of them being the scom. I really don't think they've all been tested enough though but I might be a Guinea pig.

riva stage II with air intake and flame aresstor removal. That will put you at 79+ easy. You will love how the FZS is not the only ski that can go wright at 80 with a tune.

Trust me I think this TX300 is potentially going to be one of the best ski's for top MPH numbers. The way mine pulls so hard to that limiter I know there's a TON of juice left in it even if I only went with SCOM. But the mind is curious for greater things...as usual.

Ride it stock for this season and save some cash for a MoTeC 130 for next season. You can use it on your SVHO too with just a harness!
