    2016 vxr slow!!

Hey guys, just purchased a 2016 vxr white/red. Overall I love this machine. My only problem is that it seems to be slowwww. My cousin has a 2015 vxr and he's always atleast 2 skis ahead of me. I thought it was because my machine was not broken in. Now with 20 hours still same thing. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Mine woke up closer to 30 hours. If you do the ribbon delete and get a Jims ride plate modification, you should be happy with your speeds and power for a basically stock VXR.

This may be a stupid question but do you have it in "slow mode"? That is a thing....literally...

How slow are we talking? 60mph or 40mph?

Thanks for the replies. Both skis have the same exact mods which are riva free flow exhaust, riva intake ,and riva ribbon delete. And it's deff not in slow mode.

16 is heavier and is slower than the older model.

The change was done for the 2015 so in this case the 2015 and 2016 are the same. the change to the wider hull and longer hull was first year 2015.
