    Polaris 5432413 Plastic Battery Cover

I definitely don't have 3 but may have 1 extra. If I do just pay shipping and it's yours. I will check tonight/tomorrow and let you know.

On this machine the battery hold down is a fairly large metal saddle that fits over the battery and reaches down the sides. Comes very close to the battery terminals. The cover insulation is important to ensure rough riding or hold down bolt loosening does not allow a short to occur.

Different Polaris models have different battery hold down configurations. On the older Polaris models the electrical box is metal and is strapped directly on top of the battery. Without the battery cover insulation it is common for the battery to short to the electrical box shell and burn out the stator wiring.

The OEM covers on the ends of the heavy battery cables are not large enough to fully shroud the battery posts so even the USCG requirement is not met without the OEM cover or equivalent.

Oddly enough, I am again in need of another two battery covers.

You get yours first, perhaps the next two will find their way to me.

Just bought a 1999 Genesis... noticed that it does not have anything over the battery (other then the strap)... so if anyone has an extra battery cover, would love to grab one. Thx
