As long as you don't over fill the engine oil there is no problem. I had a catch can on and made the hull stink of sump oil smell went into storage and my towels and gear smelt like i wipped the sump out took off and sold best thing i did.

Ordered along with a stage 2 kit, and was told it was out of stock. Waiting for it to show up before I pull her out to do a bunch of mods.

So I just purchased a 2019 RXT-X 300. Would a catch can be necessary for this? If so how hard will it be to install ?

It's very simple to install, I wouldn't go fo a ride without one , there is oil in catch can after every ride.

Interesting, I have the same can and with 26 hours have never had the hint of one drop, nothing. I have had several others experience the same thing. I run my oil level at mid kink.

Some motors are tighter than others, my stage 4 300 anything above bottom line and it's making oil and filling up catch can. The wifes 300, never a drop in catch can and it likes oil level mid way. Once you find the sweet spot for yours, just leave it
