i would do the reflash, air intake and impeller all together, along with the ribbon delete of which I forgot to mention. Here is the link

I would like to build my VXR to keep up with supercharged skis but at the same time keep the ski reliable. I have a couple buddies that just bought supercharged skis FZR's and RXT's 260 and FX SHO. I would like to surprise them next time we race. Is it worth modding the VXR ?? what kind of acceleration and top speed improvements can I expect ?
There is also this rear exhaust available for the 2015+ VXR's
    http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...oducts_id=3742

    and this exhaust waterbox

Unfortunately no ride plate or grate available for the 2015 yet, but Jim has this modification to the stock plate
    http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...oducts_id=1409

The fastest naturally aspirated VXR that I heard of was 75 mph. He was also using that R&D R3 reflash. Hope that helps!

Do you know what kind of improvements are gain with the ride plate mod? Definitely doing the R&D tune. But didn't know which one to get.

    Thanks for your help

    Definitely do the R3 reflash!

Most people see 2 mph gain with Jim's ride plate mod. It's money well spent trust me!

Green Hulk, I hope you don't mind all my questions. I have worked on cars & motorcycle a lot but I am a neophyte for working on PWCs.
    (1) Do you know the pitch on the stock 2015 FX Crusier HO impeller?
    (2) why isn't the crankcase breather mod counterproductive or even a net zero for power increase as you are no longer reducing the crankcase back pressure with the vacuum from the engine intake? Doesn't the vacuum pull on the crankcase make it easier for pistons to down stroke? Also, does just having a filter sitting in the engine compartment allow for adequate escape of spent gasses from the crankcase? I thought the whole point of the crankcase vent was to pull out unwanted contaminating gasses and create negative pressure on the piston's down stroke.
    (3) Do you have a step by step video for changing out the impeller on a Yamaha HO?

I don't know #1. #2 is keeping those crankcase gasses out of the intake where you just want clean air/oxygen and fuel for the most power. The crankcase will breath on it's own. #3, just check u-tube. I found one for a FX SHO that helped me and is the same on my VXR.

    Suggest you read through the
    VXR/VXS Speeds and Mods Database
Sticky thread. Its a long slog but worth
the time. Most all VXR mods and their
    effect on speed/handling are addressed
    and discussed in detail.
These GH model specific Mod threads
are like having your own personal
    Wikipedia but even better.
    Thank you Jerry/GH!
