Do the 2008+ FX Yamaha Skis have Anodes?

Folks, got a couple of new to me Ski's FXHOs and I'm trying to determine if there are anodes that need to be replaced?

Are their Zinc anodes on the engines or the aluminium ride plates? I don't see any bonding wires internally, but figured I would ask.

I can see the flush ports and got that, but wanted to be sure if I left these in the salt water for a few days a month I wouldn't start seeing electrolysis.

From what someone told me, yes but I believe they said the engine has to be taken apart to access them. Not 100% sure on that.

I know you do alot of tear downs. Is this something you recommend changing as maintenance?

You can remove the anode (#11) quite easily without removing anything else. I do it when I run extra cooling on skis. Just remove and inspect. It's the larger bolt you need to undo with the 12mm head.

2008 FX HO's have the MR-1 160 HP engine..... Yamaha made the switch to the 1.8L in the HO's in 2009.
