    66V primer kits

Any suggestions and opinions on 66V primer kits? Are they pretty much all the same? Looking at the Island Racing kit.

All pretty much the same from what I've used since 01'. Only real caution is where you splice in to get your fuel from. That hose isn't the best and you don't want to introduce an air leak into your main fuel supply *if* one of those hoses fail.

Also check the internal size of the brass 'T' fitting used to splice into the fuel line. The one I got looked smaller than the fuel pipe internal diameter and would have caused a restriction.

Being worried of air leaks and restrictions I feed my primer from an RC nitro fuel bottle fixed in the rear storage box.

Why in the hell do you even consider a primer kit chris? Reject those carbs with oside bill spec's and get done with it.

This is the kit I keep coming back to. I am assuming I will want to ditch those 2 plastic T's and replace with brass?

thats a nice kit. Id use that one

the fuel doesnt really stay in those hoses so that will work IMHO. You could upgrade them but should be fine

I'm with WFO. Lines usually never stay "full", usually takes a few pumps at a minimum to get fuel flowing.

If you want something other than the plastic T's, McMaster-Carr has them in brass, stainless, and aluminum.

I will say my primer kit has saved my ass before when riding in the surf, my #1 carb filter got clogged, and I was able to feed my carbs with the primer kit and ride home by pumping the primer at a steady rhythm.

Rejetted mine with the recipe for success....cranks great. Use the accel pump as a primer. Just put a ty wrap on the linkage so you can get to it.
