Those are off a 98XL they will not fit. You need the 99 and up XLT XLL parts or 99 up SUV parts. You can also tap the holes in your existing pump nozzle that way you keep your 5* angle, there are already bosses there to tap. The XLT's have a 3* angle all you would need is the reverse bucket assembly and cable then just figure out how to actuate it I kind of like RX951's idea. I have my assembly off my SUV right now and I am pulling the pump from my GPR tomorrow, I will stick this up and see if it is possible to even fit it in there and will shoot you some pics. Honest I have never considered this mod

No reason you couldn't use the 5deg nozzle from the gpr. Just drill and tap the bosses for the reverse bucket off the xlt.

I think there is a company that makes an external reverse lever for the FX160, so I think that might be an option.

Don't worry about anyone's negativity. I have a bum knee, and have looked at putting on a loading step. That never goes over real well with this crowd either.

its a good idea and i would love to see it done..

dont want to admit it but would do the mod myself as i dock on a 8 foot wide concreat slip ramp and the tide runs out at over 7 miles a hour when we come home...

get it wrong once if your the first guy back and you slam a pontoon with metal supports on it only three foot past end of ramp....nice..

8 foot sounds wide but it aint..my gp1200 took a blow from it when i was learning..plenty of paint work needed..

after that i owned a xlt and that was sooo simple to do it on due to its r bucket..

go billy you have a new project..as if you need another

for me its either slamming into the jetty with a terrible cross current or getting washed up onto some nasty rocks.

With the boat we have to do the following:
come in pretty fast, then let the momentum carry you in, and at the last minute using reverse to stop the momentum. you stop exactly where u need to be.

to re-launch, i have to use reverse to pull out, in order to clear the rocks and the cross current.

Launching the jetski is extremely easy:
I have a very fancy trailer, that has a breakneck/.breakback.

so i just reverse the trailer into the water, pull a pin, and the the front of the jetski lifts in the air, and slides into the water. couldnt be easier
