    Jerry, your opinion please.

    Re: GH thread:

As you know there have also been some early VXRs
    experiencing Throttle Body/Throttle Damper Assy’s
separating from the intake manifold (because the
Damper Assy is just ‘bonded’ to the intake manifold).
The VXR part no’s, and designs, have changed for the TBody, TDamper, the associated bolts (and even the intake manifold in 2014 / o-rings etc etc).

So my question is this... to do the VXR ‘fix’ correctly should all three parts (TBA,TDA and bolts) be updated?
Or is the Yamaha Part #6CR-14163-00 (‘quik fix’) equally correct?
Which would you do if it was your 2011 VXR (CC boat only w/an R&D Air Filter Kit hanging out there on the TBody)?

    Appreciate your input.

I've not done this update on a VXR yet, so to be safe I would say go with the 2014 spacer, gasket and bolts. They are items 10, 11 and 8 on this page of the OEM store
    http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....TTLE-BODY-ASSY.

    Hope that helps!

My 2013 VXR is not bonded. Solid piece of aluminum. The 2013 also has a different intake and uses a different ribbon delete sleeve than the previous years.

    Correct.

Plus the 2013+ Throttle Damper does not
have studs that attach it to the Throttle Body
    like the upgraded 2011/12 Damper.
    2013+ TDamper/TBody are attached w/bolts
thru the TBody. Prolly doesn’t matter but don’t
    know for sure yet.

On the surface it seems like the upgraded
2011/12 damper should mate to my original
2011/12 TBody, and attach to my original
intake manifold with bolts..., but need to
    confirm w/Yamaha.
Also need to ask dlr if there was ever a
    TSB re this issue.
Should have done that before posting...
    my bad lol.
